Looking pro is the all that matters and Kat has it nailed.
Another post from 2 time Arizona Time Trial champion and 2 time Arizona Team Time Trial champion Kat Salthouse. Here she talks about how to fit in when you show up for her signature event, the time trial (which every triathlete should do regularly, they are fun). Check the links at the bottom for upcoming Time Trials (there are several in the next few weeks).
Time Trial’s are a great way to get in a killer training ride for the bike leg of a triathlon, especially since you don’t have to deal with the silly running bit. Whenever I am warming up for a TT, I pass the time by picking out the triathletes from the cyclists.
I love triathletes, and that's where I started out, but lets be honest, they aren't the best dressed athletes out there. Cycling is a totally different culture, you are judged by how good you look, not how fast you go. To help all you triathletes fit in I've thrown together a list of rules for looking your best on race day. Disclaimer: Cyclists are snobs.
If you are considering breaking into the world of cycling here are some other good sites to look up some of the other rules of cycling
Upcoming Time Trial races (open to all including triathletes) can be found here
